Are you worried about your drug use?
It can be difficult to know where to turn if you have concerns about your drug use, often people are worried about talking to a professional because drugs are illegal, or they will be labelled a “drug addict.”
At the Robert Street Clinic all our addictions therapists are trained and experienced in helping people with concerns about their drug use, and all treatment is confidential.
The most commonly used drugs in New Zealand are:
- Cannabis (pot, weed, marijuana)
- Pure methamphetamine (“P” meth, crystal, Crack)
- Ecstasy (MDMA)
- Hallucinogens (LSD, Magic Mushrooms)
- Opiates (heroine, opium, codeine)
- Prescription drugs such as sleeping pills and sedatives
It can be hard to know if your use is a problem, or what you should do about it. Frequently people are surrounded by people using the same drugs in the same ways, or their use has become such a habit it is hard to know how to change.
Talking to one of our trained professionals will help you decide if your use is a problem, and what steps to take to start making changes.
