Rachel Caine Counsellor

Rachel Caine

BSc(Hons), PCCE, Dip Professional Counselling

Member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (MNZAC)

Rachel has over 20 years experience in the educational field working with adolescents both as an educator and in a guidance setting.  She has trained teachers around the skills of mindfulness and incorporated these skills plus those of emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills into the learning opportunities offered to learners within the educational setting to help them understand themselves better and make more informed choices.

Rachel enjoys working with a diverse range of clients and particularly those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, addiction and borderline personality disorder.   She is able to incorporate a variety of modalities into client treatment, with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) being her preferred therapy model.

Rachel is a firm believer in supporting clients to gain knowledge about their emotions, behaviours and thinking so that they can recognise the patterns and dynamics at play that are causing them distress.  This along with skills based training will hopefully empower and enable them to build their capability to create a life worth living, solve problems effectively and create meaningful connections with others.

Her fees for individual sessions are $180.00
