Dr Yulia Krivoshchekova received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University in New York. She has over 15 years’ experience of providing short and long-term psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families, as well as running groups.

She has an extensive experience in a treatment of complex personality disorders, PTSD, as well as people dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationships difficulties. Her training and work experience in a variety of settings both in United States and New Zealand include Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Family Therapy Models, ACT, Brief Solution Focus Therapy, as well as Mindfulness based technics.

She works with people in crisis and people with more persistent and challenging difficulties, as long as they are motivated. The goal of her therapy is to help her clients develop greater understanding of themselves, their relationships patterns as well as to make necessary changes that make their life genuinely more satisfying.

She currently divides her time between private work at Robert Street Clinic and public sector work (she is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Segar House – Auckland District Health Board).

Although she is primarily a clinician, she does lecture, presents at conferences and has published research on cancer screening, self-disclosure, lifespan development, and acculturation.

Her fees for individual sessions are $180.00 inc.GST
