Kiersten is a registered psychotherapist who has worked extensively with adults, teens, children, and families in specialist mental health services in the public, community, and private sectors. She works from an integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic psychotherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT).

Kiersten is experienced in working with people with complex trauma, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, bereavement, as well as chronic and terminal illness.

From her years as a youth worker in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, to her experience working with families of children with cancer, to today as a psychotherapist, Kiersten brings a considered and compassionate approach to the wellbeing of her clients.

Kiersten works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families for short-term counselling and longer-term psychotherapy. She holds a contract to provide ACC funded sensitive claims therapy and assessments. She also offers supervision to mental health professionals.
