Rob practices counselling and psychotherapy with individuals and couples. He assists people to both change unhelpful patterns in their life and relationships, and to understand where these patterns have originated. He offers both short term change oriented counselling, and longer term intensive psychotherapy.

He has extensive experience helping people with:

  • Alcohol and drug problems
  • Childhood abuse trauma and neglect
  • Mental health and personality disorders
  • Relationship problems
  • Anger management
  • Domestic violence issues
  • Compulsive behavioural problems

Rob works with individuals, couples and groups. He is trained and experienced in both behavioural approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or ‘CBT’) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (or “DBT”) as well as psychodynamic psychotherapy, group therapy, skills training and education models.

With over fifteen years experience in counseling and psychotherapy, Rob has worked in the public addiction services, community mental health and specialist psychotherapy services.

As a consultant he offers group education and training solutions to corporate and business clients. This includes consultation on drug and alcohol harm reduction, motivation and change strategy education for groups, and EAP counselling.

Rob is an experienced practitioner of DBT treatment for people with personality disorder issues and those who also have drug and alcohol problems. Rob has also supervised therapists and counsellors for over 8 years.

Fees for all appointments are $180.00 inc.GST
